Hair Extension Cost Examples
The following clients are wearing hair extensions by Crystal Anne. The details of their hair makeover and cost are explained to demonstrate the average costs associated with getting the highest quality, longest lasting hair extensions.
18″ Hair Extensions on Short Thick Hair
This is an example of 18″ extensions applied to short, thick hair. Client with shorter and/or thicker natural hair will need a higher quantity of hair extensions to blend well. Without a sufficient quantity, the hair extensions will not be thick enough to appear natural and to cut layers into for a stylish finish. This client is wearing 5 bundles of 18″ Hair Extensions in normal, medium and small sized bonds for a total cost of about $1450-$1800.
16″ Hair Extensions on Short Thin Hair
This is an example of 16″ extensions applied to short, thin hair. Clients with thinner natural hair will benefit from the smaller sized hair extension bonds available. The smaller sized hair extension bonds are even more discreet than our already undetectable bonding points and hold fewer hairs per bond making for a lighter weight hair extension. This is safer for fine hair because the use of large, heavy hair extensions can cause breakage. Unlike other salons that manually cut hair extension bonds down in size in attempt to replicate our tiny bonds at Signature Beauty by Crystal, our hair extensions are custom manufactured in four different bonds sizes and are therefor more durable and secure. Salons that attempt to “trim” or “modify” their hair extensions can cause shedding and hair breakage for their client. Read more about how our hair extensions compare to others here. The use of smaller bonds does require a higher quantity, though, because the smaller bonds have less hair per bond. This client is wearing 5 bundles of all small sized bond 16″ Hair Extensions for a total cost of about $1600.
14″ Hair Extensions on Short, Average Volume Hair
This is an example of 14″ extensions applied to short hair that has average thickness. Clients with average volume hair can benefit from the various bond sizes to achieve a full look using a lower quantity of extensions. To establish the fullness, normal and medium sized bonds are used through the back and bottom of the hair and small bonds are used in areas that get more movement and need more discreet bonds such as above the ears and around the hairline. Read more about the various sized bonds, hair lengths and qualities, and application process here.
